Red Arroyo Trail

The Red Arroyo Trail is an excellent new feature that San Angelo has added to its parks system. This trail is the brainchild of Art in Uncommon Places, owner Julie Raymond. The non-profit has placed about fifty art pieces along the route, including ant statues, boat silhouettes, large snail statues, mosaic art, and giant bird cages. The trail is a 12-foot-wide pavement suitable for bicycling, walking, or jogging. The course is approximately four miles that trace the natural Red Arroyo drainage area from Sherwood Way to Knickerbocker Road.

One interesting feature is glow-stones that are embedded in the concrete of the path. The stones charge during the day and glow at night, creating an excellent effect.

Parking can be found at Red Arroyo Trail Head near Sul Ross Street. The trail is located close to 3215 Millbrook Drive, San Angelo, TX.
